A Northern Irish Wedding: Part I…international wedding photographer

OK friends, here is the first of several posts, I’m sure!  I can’t begin to say how much fun I had not only hanging out in Ireland with Aidan, Joy, and the rest of the friends I have there, but to shoot their wedding was a completely amazing and stellar time!  It was especially cool to see all the little wedding traditions and other cultural stuff they do differently, which I’ll try to point out as we go along.  Aidan & Joy, thanks so much for the whole of the trip, and for the chance to travel to such an beautiful location for a wedding!  Blessings on your new journey together.

For today we’ll begin with the preparations on the big day.  I started the day at Joy’s house, so here are some detail shots as well as ones of Joy with her mum and sister.

I love the below shot of Joy’s earing.  The black and white really features the “bling” factor.  Very cool.

Joy’s little brother was really cool.  The below photo on the left shows him and his bear hanging out before the events unfolded.  He had no end of fun expressions and situations that made for great photo ops!

And to end the first post, above you can see the sweet Rolls Royce they rented.  It lacked no edge of coolness and class, and as you will see later it makes for a great addition in photos with a couple!
